5.6L in the Altima would be amazing but imagine the torque steer! I don't know why they don't already make bigger motors available as special custom options not normally sold at dealerships. I'd buy it.
Crazy how they brain wash us to thinking a name makes it a better car.I'm here in japan deployed right now.some civilian workers came to fix something in the building i work in and the boss of them pulls up in whats looks like a new G35 just it has a Nissan logo right on the front of it.I told the man nice car but pointing and giving the thumbs up and he replied "Yes Nissan number one in Japan " Top to bottom that's an Infiniti in the states.
The VK56DE swap in the Altima? I thought about that years ago when I was naive. It sounds good on paper, but like it was mentioned before...torque steer. Obviously it has been converted to RWD, but with the weight of the VK56DE It's balance is all sorts of ----ed up! I got my hands on a VK45DE a couple months back. I was planning on building it and dropping it in my Coupe but I'm currently trading it for the VQ37DE.
the other guy thats doing a vk56 swap in his 3rd gen altima ended up extending the entire front of the car to help with some handling problems he might encounter
Interestingly enough, I caught a few races of V8 Supercars from Australia on the weekend and the Altima with the V8 looked and sounded amazing. I was quite surprised to see it running in the supercar series.
V8 Supercars engine,Wow...That is some super news...Looking forward from Nissan as how they make this a huge success...!!
